Most of the races presented here can be played as player characters, but many may not be appropriate for some Storm & Steel campaigns. The GameMaster may restrict certain races or remove them completely from play. Keep in mind that some unique races may find great difficulty in navigating certain environments such as dungeons, confined areas, underwater, and mountainous settings, due to their particular form or size. Additionally, 'monstrous' characters may be viewed with alarm, suspicion, or hostility in populations that are not acclimated to the presence creatures of an unusual nature, or that seem menacing, dangerous, or very powerful.
Some of the races below have further subgroups that found in the racial description.
